Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel - Developer Overview

Claptrap as a playable character? Yes...here's a video by the developers talking about Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.

Can't wait!

New Borderlands Revealed. Set on the moon?

It appears that there will be a new Borderlands game, a pre-sequel and will be out for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. Which has got me all excited because I'm a pretty big fan of the Borderlands franchise. There will also be 4 new playable characters, all of which have appeared in previous Borderlands games. And finally, most of the game will be set on the moon, which means low gravity, no oxygen...oh, and jetpacks! Sounds so awesome already.

Anyway, the guys over at rockpapershotgun have a lot more detail about this game.

Game of Thrones intro recreated with Skyrim.

This is just pure awesome, especially for the fans of both Game of Thrones and The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim. Basically, someone has recreated the the Game of Thrones intro but used Skyrim's map/buildings and I think it is just brilliant.

Dead Island Helper. Tool to improve the graphics.

I'm really enjoying the game Dead Island, I find it very satisfying whacking off heads with a hammer that has been electrified. Visually it's not bad, a little too much bloom and the shadows aren't that great either.

So I did a quick search and found this neat little tool called Dead Island Helper. It automatically improves performance and applies tweaks without having to edit files and risk messing something up.

Also, don't worry about VAC banning you because they won't, I, and many others use this and have not received a ban. There's a thread here on Steam forums with a little more detail.

Techy stuff: Oculus Rift and How about a $3000 graphics card.

Lets start with Oculus Rift, as pretty much everyone on the internet knows by now, Oculus Rift has been sold to Facebook for $2 Billion dollars and internet has erupted because of it. There are posts, threads, blogs, tweets, you name it, people aren't exactly too pleased by this and many have even cancelled their preorder and wrote of Oculus all together.

I personally haven't really made up my mind just yet, I think in a way it's good for Oculus to really get their name out there and use the resources and the power of Facebook to really evolve. I am for now going to wait and see what happens.

Thinking of upgrading your graphics card? How about a GeForce FTX TITAN Z for just $3000? Sounds crazy but it's real and it features a pair of Kelpler GK110 chips, it offers 5,760 CUDA processing cores and each has 6GB of GDDR5 which is a total of 12GB. You could buy a high-end gaming PC for that price.

Stressful times.

Moving house is stressful as a lot of you may know and one of the biggest stresses that sits on your mind more than ever is money. This is stressful in many ways with the main weight on my mind is bills, these have to be paid or you won't have a place for much longer.

Just recently my other half accidentally missed an appointment at the jobcentre, they said to her your next appointment will be on your next sign on day which is every 2 weeks but the appointment was actually put down as a week later. This resulted in our benefits being stopped completely, I wouldn't to be angry but that won't get us far, we just had to stay cool and get it sorted asap which is what we did.

We had to go through a rapid reclaim which basically reboots your claim and luckily they accepted and we should be back on track in the coming days.

Also the cops keep coming round asking for some guy who lived here before. We keep telling them he don't live here no more.

New house!

The time had finally come, after many months and waiting. We got offered a house and we took it in a heartbeat.

What's it been like the last couple of months of being here?

To start with we were very busy, a lot of the first week was spent getting up early, leaving the previous flat to get on a busy bus in the freezing cold to then finally get to the house which we were preparing for decorating. The council were round almost everyday fixing things up like the back door, fitting windows and a few other minor tasks here and there. While me and the other half were stripping wallpaper and cleaning the place up. Seemed like an endless task.

Second week came along and we mostly did more preperations and a bit of decorating. We finally started to crack on with the painting of downstairs towards the end of the week which was a bit of relief. A lot had to be done and with money being tight, we managed to get a lot of help from the Mother who provided us with some paints and tools to get us going and also helped us a fair bit by doing some cleaning and painting herself.

As the weeks went on progress was being made painting was done, carpets were in and basically most of the downstairs was complete with furnishings and kitchen appliances, most of which were brought for us by my other half's Mother who has been very helpful too.

Once all the decorating and stuff like that was done we could finally move in and get my stuff moved down. The sleeping arrangements were just a air bed that didn't last long until it got a puncture but not for long thankfully as we finally got a bed.

From then it's been pretty steady, we still need to get the gardens sorted as soon as we get some garden tools. Which I wish we had now because the weather has been great the past week or so, perfect for gardening. But with bills and other expenses it has to get put on hold for now.
