Rest in Peace Paul Walker.

It's a sad day with the loss of a great man, who's probably best known for his roles in the Fast and Furious franchise. Top actor, top bloke and still had a lot to offer.

R.I.P Paul Walker.

Dead Rising 3 Co-op Video.

Dead Rising 3 is starting look like an extremely fun game which is a good thing because I didn't quite enjoy the first one, not for longer than 30 minutes anyway. Dead Rising 3 however, looks like it could be fun for a long time.

Ryse Developer Flythrough: York

Here's another video showing us York in the game Ryse. Looks awesome doesn't it?

Xbox One All-in-One Demo.

Today, Microsoft have released a video showing of their dashboard functionality like instant switching, biometric sign-in, Live TV, Skype, game DVR, OneGuide and more. I find it very interesting, especially with the Kinect implementation which looks easy enough and could prove quite useful. It's stuff like you see in the video that 'next-gen' should be about.

Ryse Developer Flythrough: Rome

Ryse, the Xbox One exclusive by Crytek looks gorgeous and I hope the gameplay/story can live up to these stunning visuals.

Battlefield 4: Current-gen Vs Next-gen

In this video they compare current-gen to the next-gen and there's not a huge difference in all honesty. You see the obvious differences such as the lighting, higher-res textures, higher quality shadows amongst other things but the current-gen still looks rather impressive considering how old it is.

ARMA 3 Campaign 'Survive' Out Now!

The long awaited campaign for ARMA 3 has finally arrived as a free download, your game will just update automatically like it would if it is patching on Steam.

Synopsis:

'Tensions rise as NATO peacekeeping forces begin to leave The Republic of Altis: a strategic fault-line between crumbling European influence and a powerful, resurgent East. But when a key radar facility drops off the grid, a Mediterranean flashpoint risks escalating into global conflict.

Caught up in a situation beyond their control, a botched withdrawal traps the men of Task Force Aegis and a clandestine group of UKSF operators in a fight for survival. With only a crippled local resistance to turn to, they must rapidly adapt to overcome an unforgiving environment and defeat a brutal enemy.'

From what I've played so far the campaign is very difficult, expect to die a LOT. It's not like COD where you can run in to a room with 5 enemies pointing guns at you and you simply mow them down single handedly. You will get punished for doing that in this game. It requires thinking, a bit of luck and patience.

A side from that it is still an enjoyable experience especially for the more hardcore players and it runs rather well as well, even on my old system where I had stable 30fps which to me is playable for a game like this.

Battlefield 4: PS4 Vs Xbox One Graphics Comparison.

Here we go again, comparisons between the 2 console giants, in this video they compare the PS4 to the Xbox One with Battlefield 4 and in my opinion, I can't see any obvious differences.

FIFA 14: Why 'Next-Gen'?

I've always been a fan of the FIFA series and brought almost every one since about '97 I think. FIFA 14 has been released on current gen which features basically the same technology as before. But as we know FIFA 14 on next gen will have a new engine and should be more 'next-gen'. Here's why in the video below.

ARMA 3's 1st Campaign Coming October 31st

It has been a while since setting foot in the world of ARMA. Mainly due to the fact that I have very low FPS on multiplayer and there's only a handful of scenarios to play with. However, the campaign is only a few weeks away called the 'Survive' campaign where players will be taking on the role of a regular soldier stationed in the Republic of Altis and Stratis.

"Our first campaign episode, ‘Survive’, introduces players to Ben Kerry, a regular soldier who’s part of a NATO peacekeeping mission in the Mediterranean. Following a couple of years of uneasy cease-fire, this US-led deployment is now in the process of a staged drawdown. The vacuum left by withdrawing forces is being rapidly filled by the opposing CSAT faction, creating the conditions for, one might say, a flashpoint”
-explains Jay Crowe, Creative Director on Arma 3

“Of course, it's not just about our own story, but another opportunity to provide yet more building blocks for the platform - new weapons, animations, 3D objects, scripted modules - each designed to grant content creators even greater freedom to create and share their own content. Looking forward to the forthcoming episodes, we’ll continue to expand Arma 3’s sandbox with additions such as new vehicles.”

After the first Machete movie being so entertaining, the next one is looking even more so. Proof of this lies in the trailer.

Half-Life: Raise the Bar [Fan Film]

I've always liked watching these live action fan films. Some are outstanding where others are the complete opposite. The one below isn't mind blowing but it's still very well done.

A look at ARMA Tactics on the PC

ARMA Tactics has been around for a while now on mobile devices, I managed to play it on a tablet and it ran well but crashed often so stopped playing it because of this. Now it's on PC and seems very stable, no crashes yet.

You can find ARMA Tactics on Steam.

Half - Life 3 Trademarked? CONFIRMED?

HALF - LIFE 3 CONFIRMED!?!

...At least I wish it was already.

Just about each week something always crops up about probably one of THE most anticipated games of all time, Half - Life 3. The latest just a couple of days ago is a trademark form with Half - Life 3 being the trademark by Valve Corporation.
No one is entirely sure if this is real. Anyway, here's a screenshot of part of the form.
Interesting stuff...
