Random things

A lot of things have happened in the last few days, some bad but mostly good. To start with Valve have finally started to update their games, starting with the game Day of Defeat: Source.

A new update adding support for Steamworks is currently available in beta for Day of Defeat: Source, the popular World War II online action game from Valve, creators of the Half-Life and Counter-Strike games.
Leveraging the recently released free set of services available in Steamworks, the Day of Defeat update will add 51 achievements for DoD, player avatar display in the scoreboard and win panel, and detailed player statistics integrated with the Steam Community features (www.steamcommunity.com).

You can read the rest at Steam or my site

Did anyone watch the football, champions league final between Chelsea and Man Utd?
If you didn't then you should've because it was a brilliant match, Man Utd won but only just, if Terry never had slipped then maybe Chelsea would've won. It's a good job Terry is not old because he would've had a heart attack after that penalty miss.

Lastly, one of the best adverts everyone is talking about is pure genious, i know some of it's CGI and the rest is actually real. If you haven't got a clue what i mean then just see the video below.

MMO's and RPG's.

So many bad looking ones and so many good looking ones. A lot of my attention has been on MMO's/RPG's, been hearing quite a lot about them and a lot of them are coming in the future. Some maybe true and some maybe just a rumor.

The ones that caught my eye are:

- Oblivion MMO (Would be fucking awesome)
- Call of Duty MMO (3 words, What the fuck?)
- Hello Kitty MMO (Haha, Oh no)
- Fable 2 (Fable 1 was awesome, so will this one be. Hopefully)

...and i'm sure there will be many more, oh and you can see why I mention some bad ones.

Might start playing Oblivion again because it has to be the best RPG ever. It's just a whole new world with endless randomness from here there and everywhere.

Final word, if anyone's looking for some good live action gameplay then visit here http://www.flamegoat.net - these guys are really cool.

Hot, hot, hot...

Where has it come from, it has been so hot all of a sudden for the last few days. I started to feel as though summer was never coming.

All day I've been outside with my girlfriend and her nephew, playing football, jumping on the trampoline, playing with the dogs and of course drinking plenty of water. Lets hopeit stays like this because we've had quite a lot of rain. It gets boring being stuck indoors most of the time.

Been watching a few live streams of GTAIV to see how good it really is and i don't blame most reviews for giving a 9 - 10/10 because it deserves it. This is definatly a game i've put on the top of my list. I'm trying not to watch too much or i'll spoil it for myself, most of the time when there is a spoiler i turn away and look at something else.

Anyone been watching Britain's Got Talent?
Well if not then check this out anyway, amazing.

Epic: No plans for another Unreal

I enjoyed playing the Unreal games, especially the first one but i suppose it's not a huge loss overall.

"Epic, as a company, is having a bit of a turbulent time right now as PC gamers turn against the now console-focused Unreal developer. There is one hope though, one thing which might return Epic to the good graces of PC enthusiasts.

We're talking about a new singleplayer Unreal game, naturally.

Unfortunately, the news is mixed and in a recent interview with Eurogamer Epic's Mark Rein confirms that although a new Unreal is definitely on the cards at some point, there's no plans right now.

"I'm sure that at some point in our future we will make another Unreal, single-player, story-driven game. I'm sure at some point there will be one...[however] there are no plans to do one today."

Ah well, at least Epic seems willing to return to the franchise. Plus, in the meantime, Epic continues on with development of Gears of War 2."
