2 Videos I made, nothing special.

The first is a video of me killing the 2 Antlion Guards in Half - Life 2: Episode 2.

The second is just a short montage of me killing a few in Team Fortress 2.

I'd like to thank Valve for making such amazing games. I just can't wait for EPISODE 3!

Top Gear - Series 14 - Episode 1

This episode was an hilarious one as usual, James, Richard and Jeremy each had a car and these were the Aston DBS Volante a Ferrari California and a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder. With these cars, they had a trip to Romania to find what most hardcore drivers claim to be the greatest road in the world.

The star in the reasonably priced car is Star Trek, Troy and Hulk star Eric Bana.

My favorite parts was with the toilet seat and James' car. Nuff said.

Enjoy.

Confirmed: EA Closes Pandemic Studios, Says Brand Will Live On

Early this morning we broke the news that Electronic Arts planned to close down Pandemic Studios, laying off 200. Now we have confirmation.

An internal Electronic Arts memo confirms that Pandemic Studios was shut down today with a "core IP team" being moved to Electronic Arts' Los Angeles office. Among those let go were the studio's top three employees: Andrew Goldman, formerly the studio's CEO; Josh Resnick, formerly the studios president; and Greg Borrud, vice president of product development.

Q&A with DICE - Frostbite Engine & DirectX® 11

Found some interesting information about DirectX 11 and The Frostbite Engine that have been described in detail by DICE. It looks like DirectX 11 will be taking off a lot better than what DirectX 10 did.

Half - Life 2 Cinematic Mod.

I love seeing how you can improve the visual, sound etc for games. I came across this one for Half - Life 2 called Cinematic Mod and it's truly amazing how much detail has been put into it. HL2/Source Engine always has suffered from low res textures, however, this mod can fix that.

Official Website

It features the following:

- Raise the quite outdated graphical appearance to a state-of-the-art level

- Give the HL2 trilogy a more stressed, darker and minatory look

- Complement the atmosphere with a emotional cinematic music soundtrack, that fits the action on the screen

- Replace the low-resolution textures with high resolution counterparts and more detailed environments (hires melons!)

- Complement the storyline with the unused content from the original games

- Refresh the look and feel with optional new HD models

- Add more replay-value

Christmas Wishlist.

Christmas seems to be right around the corner as I'm already seeing adverts and even decorations here and there for Christmas. It's all very good but people are so impatient these days.

Anyways, there isn't really anything I want badly, a part from Fifa 2010. :) Everything else is just something I'd like and won't care if I get it or not.

1. Fifa 2010
2. Forza Motorsports 3
3. Borderlands
4. Left 4 dead 2
5. Some new shoes, all mine are starting to look a state.
6. More jeans perhaps. Only own about 4 or 5 pairs.
7. I might be needing a new wireless adapter for my PC as the one I got now I knocked with my foot by accident which has made it lose so every now and then it cuts off.
8. Obviously, a DX11 graphics card would be nice but I can wait as I'm quite with my 4850.

That's about it for now.

Ghost Story.

We all ask the question. Do ghost's really exist?

Well, I believe they do because 1 night me and my brother were watching a film called Billy Elliot at around 11:30pm, we were only about 11 and my brother must've been about 9 or 8.

Anyway, we were sitting there on these been bags and on the left there was a table with my empty pint sized plastic cup on it with a few other things. Then all of a sudden at the corner of my eye which I didn't think much of, I saw the cup move just a few centimeters. Now I didn't quite believe this as I was too busy watching this movie but I still had to move it back. Then about 5 minutes later I seen the cup move full on and it moved from the centre, up a little bit then it moved down to the edge of the table. It was barely hanging of.

I looked at my brother who had also seen it too and it looked like he had just seen a ghost. We both looked at each and said, "Did you see that?". I looked at the DVD and TV thinking, should I turn it off, but my first initial thought was, 'fuck it' and we both bombed it upstairs, leaving the TV on which had a coin meter and the DVD.

Now you might be thinking about this and saying 'What bullshit' but trust me and I swear on my mothers life that this is for real and it's defiantly something I will remember for the rest of my life.

Unreal Tournament 3. Give it a try!

I've recently been playing this game quite a bit, before I upgraded my graphics I didn't so much due to it being so laggy. Now I can have the graphics maxed at 1440 x 900, it truly is an amazing game.

Firstly, I will start with the bad points and the major one is the campaign, it's just a complete waste of time, you might as well setup a quick match with some bots, that's all it is. But we all know this game isn't about some shitty campaign, multiplayer is where it's at. A part from that, I can't really say much more about it that disappoints me that much.

When I was at the breach of buying this game, I firstly read up some reviews and asked around on peoples views. The most common answer was it was just a graphically enhanced UT 2004. At first I can kinda see why, similar gameplay and the mods that came out for UT 2004 came with what you got in UT3 like the vehicles, hoverboard etc... But not exactly all.

After some thought I left it for a while which was a mistake and what I leaned was to not always rely on peoples opinions. Eventually, I ended up looking back at trailers, gameplay videos, reviews etc... I looked around for decent prices until I seen a free weekend on Steam, which allowed me to download the game free (legally) on Steam and play it for the weekend.

Now I didn't exactly get a good play time since the download was something like 7 or so GB and the Steam servers were at max capacity which made the download speeds unbearable, we're looking at 100 - 150 kb max. After long hours of downloading, I finally get a chance to see what this game had to offer, and quite frankly, I was gob smacked. Even though I was playing at mostly low settings at 800 x 600, I still had a great experience. Amazing gtaphics, awesome vehicles, beautiful maps and you was constantly on the go. Mayhem and pure action was always around the corner.

Obviously, after playing it during the free weekend I went ahead and brought it. Played it on and off while I had the laptop then the laptop died, not sure why, think the CPU finally died. Anyways, brought a new PC, not exactly brilliant but I knew upgrading wouldn't be a problem, especially the graphics card which is now a ATI 4850 1GB. I fucking love it, plays every game at highest settings at 1440 x 900 4 x AA, even Crysis!

Yay! So now I have a half decent system which plays anything well, including UT3 which works flawlessly and looks fantastic. I've always wanted to see the Unreal Engine 3's true colors and they are extremely impressive. UT3 game experience completely changed and has made this even more worth the while. I love it!

For you who are thinking about giving this game a try then all I can see is go ahead, give it a bash. It might surprise you.

Fifa 09 glitch or is it?

I decided to start a new season the other day and some of you who have played may already know that it gives you the option to add your custom made players to your team.

I added 1 of them which was the first one I created a while ago. After a few games, say about 6 - 8, I go to check out the player growth. I like to leave it on auto-growth and every now and then I will see what points are going because it doesn't always use them all up.

So, I see what I got and most of the other players already in the squad have around 200 - 300 points, however, I go to see what the custom player has got and he's only got over 950,000 SKILL POINTS!!!!...

I had to look at it twice to believe it. I've never seen so many points, highest I seen was about 70,000 but that was after a few seasons with all the staff upgrades up to 10.

Now I have no way glitched this on purpose or cheated or whatever in anyway. I seriously don't know why it's done this.

Battlefield 1943 Breaks Records!

DICE have announced that Battlefield 1943 is fastest selling day one and week one download only game worldwide on Xbox Live Marketplace. Since it's release on Jult 8th, Battlefield 1943 has sold over 600,000 copies on Playstation Network and Xbox Live Marketplace.

“We are honoured by the reception that the game has received so far,” says Gordon Van Dyke, Producer on Battlefield 1943. “Watching and participating in this non-stop multiplayer action has been a real treat for us and we can’t believe how fast our fans reached 43 million kills. We can now truly say that we have set a new standard for what can be done in the downloadable games category and gamers recognize the endless value that Battlefield 1943 provides for just $15.”

This is a very addicting game and at only $15, I would recommend this to anyone who likes a good FPS multiplayer game.

Fifa 10 is looking excellent already. Video preview.

I am a big fan of the Fifa series and every year they always produce something better and better. Fifa 10 looks like it won't disappoint and once again surprise us.

The key features that I know of already that will be in Fifa 10 are core gameplay refinements based on responsiveness and intelligence, in addition, the Manager mode is completely overhauled with over 50 major improvements.

Also movement on and off the ball have been improved and now there is the first true 360° dribbling system which I'm really looking forward to.

These are just a few and for more details you can visit the website.

Also there's a preview video below which tells us about Fifa 10.

As the previous Stig's were never unmasked, they will still be a mystery said by one of the spokesperson.

A part from the time when earlier this year, Ben Collin's, a proffessional stuntman and Le Mans racer was thought to be The Stig.

Scrap Kaka's Transfer Record Breaking Deal Because...

...Real Madrid, who also signed Kaka have just signed Christiano Ronaldo for a record breaking £80 million. The Real president, Florentino Perez, did say he was going to to 'everything possible' to get the 24 year-old to the Bernabeu.

Here's the amazingly talented and very expensive player in this cool video...

Real Madrid are going to have a pretty good season by the looks of it...

My 5 Most Favorite Videos From E3.

E3 was pretty good, even though at times it got quite boring. Now there was a lot of great games and new exciting technology that blew us away.

Here is my top 5 videos from E3.

1. Forza Motorsport 3 - This mainly blew me away because it was all in game, I enjoyed Forza 2 and can't wait for the 3rd. Graphics look photo-realistic, to me anyways.

2. Project Natal - I think this has to be one of the biggest talks at the moment. It's kind of hard to believe how amazing this piece of technology is, it well and truly blew me away.

3. Modern Warfare 2 - I really enjoyed Modern Warfare, campaign could've been a bit longer but this game is all about its multiplayer and it is very entertaining and intense.

4. Assassin's Creed 2 - Now don't get me wrong but the 1st was very good, it was just a shame about its repetitiveness, however, AC2 looks to be the opposite or at least hope.

5. Left 4 Dead 2 - I didn't buy the first because of hearing how it can get boring quite quickly and it's a good job I didn't because the next instalment looks like a definite buy.

There's still a tonne of videos which you can catch on Xbox Live, Gametrailers and many more other places or you can use the search on the right of this page.

I have 1 question, my wireless adaptor is playing up and I need a new one, which would you recommend?

I was looking at this one... Click here

Thanks.

GTAIV SMG Rocket glitch in multiplayer.

I was playing GTAIV Team Deathmatch multiplayer and someone on my team has somehow glitched the SMG to fire rockets instead, it was crazy, the other side didn't stand a chance against this guy with the rain of rockets.

People were like 'WOAH, HOW THE FUCK DID YOU DO THAT??!!'. Hopefully, it's fixed because sooner or later multiplayer will be ruined when everyone else finds out how to do it.

It looks very similar to the video below but the video below is a mod for the PC, I was playing the 360 version.

My Fifa '09 goals!

The 1st one is an awesome freekick curled in by Ronaldihno. (What is the defender doing on the left? In, out, in out, shake it all about... :/)

The 2nd is once again scored by Ronaldihno, amazing goal scored outside the box. Laid of by Thierry Henry.

This long distance freekick was scored by Ibrahimovich.

Finally, another stunning bicycle kick by Ibramhimovich.

All these games were played on Legendary difficulty. The teams are Aston Villa and Inter Milan.

My thoughts about....

Mirror's Edge.

It's an experience, a first for gaming and very fun at times. Especially for the parkour fanatics. It can be frustrating and you will die a lot. I don't think I've ever died so many times in a singleplayer game before. The controls might take you some time to get use to, but after a good half-hour, you get used to 'em and start pulling off some nice combos which get you achievements. The AI is pretty shitty but can still get you killed, especially the big guys. But these can be somewhat, easy to kill if you get your timing just right.

So, apart from it being a bit frustrating at times, this game is pretty good and would recommend it to anyone who fancies a change from the usual first person shooter. If I were to rate out of 10, I would rate it 7/10

The game I'm currently playing now is Mass Effect, a huge RPG and it gets better n' better the more you play it. Haven't played much of it so not that much to say for now.

Crazy dumb dog was only curious.

Today, my girlfriends Mum went out with her nephew and the dogs for a walk. They get up to this bridge and her nephew decided to look over the bridge at the train track while the dogs were wondering around on their own, however, one of the dogs got curious to what was on the other side so it takes a run and jump of a 20 or so foot bridge.

My girlfriends Mum screams, looks over to see the dog on its side, nearly in tears the Mum, the dog gets up and runs back up to the nephew and Mum like nothing happened. All it had was a slightly cut lip from where it must've hit on the landing.

For the rest of the walk like normal it was running around none stop, all I can say is the dog is crazy, dumb and lucky it landed on the path and not on the train track.

I would've loved a video of that, would've possibly had been a very popular video.

Just how did it get there?

I really can't remember how my surround sound remote got from 1 house to the other then back. I moved some stuff from 1 house to the other, INCLUDING this remote but when I come to use it, it's vanished. I like high and low, top to bottom for this remote in my bedroom but nothing.

Couple of months later I visited my Mum's which is the house I moved from, I didn't even have the remote on my mind at the time and all of a sudden it was there, sitting on the desk. I was like 'How the hell did it get here!?'. The only way is when I came down during christmas and packing it by accident then forgot to repack ready to go back.

What I Can't Wait To See More Of.

2009 is already looking to be a very good year, with the growing amount of games and technology that drives these games to such greatness. I'll put down the top 3 of the games from each console/PC that I own.

PC.
1.
The Sims 3.

2. The Orange Box 2 (Rumoured name)
No exact details have been said about this just yet but we expect to see games such as Half-Life 2: Episode 3, Portal 2, Counter-Strike: Source 2 and anything else, will even be called the Orange Box 2?

3. Battlefield 1943

I love the Battlefield series and judging by the teaser this is going to prove yet again an excellent instalment to the series.

Xbox 360.
1.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Yay! So they went back to Modern Warfare, why they went back to WWII, I don't know and it surprises me of how popular World At War has become, the campaign sucked pretty bad from what I saw. Anyway, lets just hope Modern Warfare 2 shapes up to be even better than any other Call of Duty's.

Release date: November 10, 2009

2.
Prototype

What can I say, this game looks extremely fun, or will it be a quick 30 minutes of fun. Judging by the videos, this game looks like it'll offer a lot, potentially it can and hopefully it will.

3.
Bioshock 2: Sea of Dreams.

Finally, the biggy, Bioshock 2: Sea of Dreams, I'm now waiting to play Bioshock which I should do anytime soon to see this masterpiece which everyone calls it, I've watched live gameplay over a Dead Pirate Studio's and it looks fantastic, not just the graphics but the gameplay and weird atmosphere too. We can only wait and see what the 2nd one will have to offer, I'm sure it'll be yet again truly amazing.

There is many, many more to list but there's simply too many but I will most likely talk about other games as they're soon to be released.
