ARMA 3 Campaign 'Survive' Out Now!

The long awaited campaign for ARMA 3 has finally arrived as a free download, your game will just update automatically like it would if it is patching on Steam.

Synopsis:

'Tensions rise as NATO peacekeeping forces begin to leave The Republic of Altis: a strategic fault-line between crumbling European influence and a powerful, resurgent East. But when a key radar facility drops off the grid, a Mediterranean flashpoint risks escalating into global conflict.

Caught up in a situation beyond their control, a botched withdrawal traps the men of Task Force Aegis and a clandestine group of UKSF operators in a fight for survival. With only a crippled local resistance to turn to, they must rapidly adapt to overcome an unforgiving environment and defeat a brutal enemy.'

From what I've played so far the campaign is very difficult, expect to die a LOT. It's not like COD where you can run in to a room with 5 enemies pointing guns at you and you simply mow them down single handedly. You will get punished for doing that in this game. It requires thinking, a bit of luck and patience.

A side from that it is still an enjoyable experience especially for the more hardcore players and it runs rather well as well, even on my old system where I had stable 30fps which to me is playable for a game like this.
